Karamo coffee Karamo coffee is Ethiopian origin Arabica coffee which is found in sidama region bura district keramo kebele. This part of Sidama region contains some of the zone’s highest farming elevations and coolest daily temperatures. Keramo is situated in a very high altitude area (2380mabsl) this gives the coffee growing in this area to have a complex coffee profile, the red cherry maturity period a lot longer than the usual Ethiopian coffee. This long period in maturation we believe gives this coffee distinct character which is why it was the number 1 coffee during COE (cup of excellency Ethiopia) competition 2020 by scoring 91.04 (still the highest score in the history of COE worldwide competition) and that coffee was sold by auction with the price of 408 dollar per kg. Karamo’s coffee microlot is incredibly juicy, strawberry-sweet, and intense in the cup and it is the first microlot produced by Niguse, and the first exclusive purchase by Royal Coffee. After this competition our coffee become highly wanted in the coffee market and attracted potential coffee buyer from Japan, England, USA and Australia.
